Family Home Evening board

Here is an example of a FHE board. These can be completely customized with your choice of board, font, vinyl color and what words you want on it (ie song, prayer, scripture, lesson, activity, talent, etc.).
For anyone that is local in the Philadelphia area, I'm having a craft night on Thursday, November 6 to make these boards. Please e-mail me for details. A completed board is $26 and the supplies to make your own is $15. (Those prices DON'T include the wooden shapes for your family members' names...you pick your own or 50 cents each for me to do them.)

Here are a few examples from my home of putting vinyl on the wall. In this first one the idea and vinyl came from my friend (and vinyl mentor) Kathy. I even copied her use of the frames!! Thank-you! The frames come from Ikea as unfinished wood with mirrors. You can take out the mirrors, paint them, add ribbon or fabric (I used a staple gun to attach the fabric strips). I think they only cost about $2 at Ikea.
I thought this saying below was perfect for my baby's jungle-themed room. At least we hope he sleeps there!
This quote below is in the Papyrus font (quite popular) and is a nice little reminder for our bedroom.

Alphabet Letters

Here is a really fun idea for putting vinyl on the wall. My brother and sister-in-law put up these alphabet picture letters around their baby's room. How cute!!! They painted the stripes themselves, and then put a letter at the top of each stripe. I thought it turned out darling. Obviously each letter is quite different and they ranged in size from 5-8 inches tall. This is the Zoo font that I have.

You can also see here their magnet board that says "BOSTON" and "Oh The Places You'll Go".

A 5.5 x 24 inch board, so cute for any girl's room.

What a fun font! Write your child's name with animals.

Fall Decorations

Here are a few different fall decorations. These all happen to be cut from 2x3 wood. There are so many pretty fall colors that you can use to paint with. I also just ordered a pretty "nut brown" vinyl (orangey/brown) that I think will be fun to use for a fall project. Let me know if you want to make any. I don't think I'm going to be able to have a craft night in October (maybe November) but you could do any of these projects on your own (or host your own craft night) or order them completed from me.

Fun with Magnets

Here are some magnet frames that are so fun to customize. You can get one any color to match the room you want to hang it in. The boards are 9 x 10 inches and the metal piece is 6 x 8 inches. They are $12.00 each.

Here are some magnets...they are about 4.5 x 1.5 inches. It would be fun to have a magnet with everyone's name on it in your house. Or you can give them as gifts to grandparents, along with pictures of your kids to be proudly displayed on their fridge!
We also make large magnet boards and I will add pictures soon of them.

Signs

Signs are very popular! The possibilities are endless. You can put any quote on a sign, and, of course, any quote on a sign could also be put straight onto the wall.

The standard sizes that I have used for signs are 5.5" x 24" ($20), 7.5"x24" ($25) and 5.5"x36"($25). Those prices are for completed signs. Contact me for prices on vinyl only. Again, we can make a sign any size you want.

Baby Birth Announcements

There are lots of really fun ways to display your baby's name and birth information. Here are a couple of ways I've done it so far.

This is a 7x7 sign with the baby's first initial in the background and then name and birth info on top. Of course you can pick the wood color and vinyl color as well as what information you want to include.

After my daughter's birth, I used vinyl to put her birth info right onto the glass of a frame and then a black and white picture of her behind the glass. I bought this frame unfinished at a craft store and then painted it.
You can also make a stacker to display the name and information. In this one below, each piece of wood is 2.5 inches high and 6, 8, and 10 inches long. You can then wrap it with colorful ribbon to match your room.
