Happy Valentine's Day!

I haven't had much time the past few weeks to do much vinyl as I've been out of town a lot, but here are some LOVE blocks that I made. I had to leave the pictures of my son in for everyone to see since he's so cute! These blocks are cut from 2x4 wood and are 7 inches high.

Hopefully now I can work on some things for the spring!

Here are a few more signs that I made in December.

Here is a 7x7 plaque with a cute quote that a friend made for Christmas gifts. This is the same size as the baby plaques I made with name and birth info (found in an earlier post).

The following blocks are cut from 2x6 wood and are each 11 inches long. The vinyl for each of these blocks is $4.

Christmas is Coming!

Here are a few ideas for Christmas, and I hope to have some more soon. If you have an idea or want anything for Christmas, please let me know soon. Dec. 6 is the latest I will take any Christmas orders.
"Christmas" blocks. $5 vinyl; $3 wood (2x3 wood). $18 finished.
"Joy" blocks- $2.00 vinyl; $1.00 wood (2x4 wood); $6 finished. I've also made a photo block here. It would be $1 for the wood for it; $5 finished. You can make this by staining your block, adding patterned paper with mod podge, then use clear photo corners so that pictures can be easily taken on and off, and add ribbon. What a cute (and inexpensive) gift!

Christmas plaque. $4 vinyl; $2.00 wood; $12 finished.

More FHE boards

Here are two more examples of FHE boards. This first one uses the Will & Grace font and flowers for the nametags. The board is painted a chocolate brown and has beige vinyl. The nametags have brown vinyl.
This board uses the papyrus font and is painted white with black vinyl. I think the oval nametags turned out really nice. If you have long names, these ovals would work well.

Here are two more fall items, just in time to get ready for Thanksgiving. Here's a little stacker to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. The bottom block is 2.5 x 10 inches. $3.00 for vinyl.
Here's a fun plaque with several words and phrases associated with the fall season. It is 10 x 10 inches. You can display it in different ways...on an easel or hung with ribbon. I could also cut the vinyl 12 x 12 and you could place it on a tile. $4.00 for 10 x 10 vinyl; $5.00 for 12 x 12 vinyl.

Family Home Evening board

Here is an example of a FHE board. These can be completely customized with your choice of board, font, vinyl color and what words you want on it (ie song, prayer, scripture, lesson, activity, talent, etc.).
For anyone that is local in the Philadelphia area, I'm having a craft night on Thursday, November 6 to make these boards. Please e-mail me for details. A completed board is $26 and the supplies to make your own is $15. (Those prices DON'T include the wooden shapes for your family members' names...you pick your own or 50 cents each for me to do them.)

Here are a few examples from my home of putting vinyl on the wall. In this first one the idea and vinyl came from my friend (and vinyl mentor) Kathy. I even copied her use of the frames!! Thank-you! The frames come from Ikea as unfinished wood with mirrors. You can take out the mirrors, paint them, add ribbon or fabric (I used a staple gun to attach the fabric strips). I think they only cost about $2 at Ikea.
I thought this saying below was perfect for my baby's jungle-themed room. At least we hope he sleeps there!
This quote below is in the Papyrus font (quite popular) and is a nice little reminder for our bedroom.
